With the dust barely settled after to 2010 40k tournament, the 2011 40k tournament has already kicked off. This year the format include 'Special Ops' as a means to make life more difficult for yourself, score more victory points and act as a balance between experienced and less experienced players.
The Viking skirmish campaign, Under the Raven Banner, also starts this week using the brand new (and not even released yet, as far I can tell) Saga rules from Gripping Beast. The campaign will lead up to the Saga demo game the club is putting on at this year's Triples.

read moreWith both of the finalists having their respective team mates desert them, John and Wayne finally took to the battlefield of the 41st Millennium last night to fight it out for last year's bragging rights and a cheap and tacky trophy. John was fielding his fantastically painted Blood Angels Space Marines and Wayne was in command of his frankly disgracefully half-finished (think 'small half') United States Colonial Marines Imperial Guard.
